

MANAMA: The Sultanate of Oman participated today in the 36th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Justice, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Sultanate of Oman was represented at the meeting by Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, along with a number of officials from the ministry.
The meeting discussed a number of topics related to enhancing judicial and legal cooperation among the GCC States, including the policy for strengthening cooperation between the ministries of justice in the GCC States and an initiative by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments of the Kingdom of Bahrain to establish an electronic platform for the exchange of judicial notices and notifications.
The meeting also addressed topics related to the meeting of the Committee of Directors and Heads of Judicial and Legal Training Centres and Institutes in the GCC States, the draft unified rules for combating information technology crimes in the GCC States, and a report on the meetings of the Committee of Officials of International Cooperation and International Relations Departments in the ministries of justice of the member states for 2026. — ONA
